‘Glee’ welcomes Charice

The cast of “Glee” greeted the exchange student from the Philippines with warm welcome and open arms.

Filipino singing sensation Charice Pempengco, who plays the role, became an instant winner among her castmates on the hit American TV show with Harry Shum, Jr. calling her an incredible performer.

On the other hand, Jenna Ushkowitz, express wonder on how a little girl could project such a big voice. Amber Riley and Lea Michele were also all praises describing Pempengco as a sweet girl with an amazing, gorgeous voice.

The role of Pempengco will be a rival of sorts to the Rachel Berry character played by Michelle, who predicted that creator Ryan Murphy may either make them the best friends in the end or engaged them in a catfight.

Season two will also see the appearance of Dot Jones in the role of Coach Beiste as the adversary of Sue Sylvester. Famous TV personality Carol Burnett will play the mother of Sue Sylvester.
