First Filipino-Canadian Grand Master in Canada MW Grand Master Constante (Chibu) Uson Installed, June 4, 2011.

On June 4, 2011 the first Filipino-Canadian Grand Master in Canada, Most Worshipful Grand Master Constante ( Chibu ) Uson and the Elected and Appointed Officers of the Grand Lodge of Manitoba,A.F.& A.M. were Installed at The Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

MW Grand Master Uson is also the current Secretary of Fil-Can Cabletow Lodge No. 189, a Lodge he helped organize. Other Installed Filipino-Canadian Officers of the Grand Lodge of Manitoba are: RW Bro Junn Manalang – Grand Director of Ceremonies; VW Bro Rudy Maraña – Junior Grand Deacon; VW Bro Ben Gasmeña – Senior Grand Steward and VW Bro Bert Manalang – Grand Standard Bearer.

Among the honuored guests present were the Filipino Brethren, led by MW Grand Master Juanito Abergas and SGW RWB Juanito Espino, Jr. of the MW Grand Lodge of the Philippines, the Filipino-American Brethren, led by the MW Grand Master Santy Lascano of the MW Grand Lodge of Washington, other Filipino-Canadian Brethren coming from the other Jurisdictions in Canada. and other Filipino-American Brethren coming from other American Jurisdictions.

Other highlights and activities following the Installation include: The Grand Master’s Gala in Honour of MW Grand Master Chibu Uson; Family Picnic in the Park at the Assiniboine Park sponsored by the Fil-Can Cabletow Lodge 189 to Honour and Entertain the visiting Brethren and guests.

MWGM Uson looks forward to serve as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Manitoba and to meet Freemasons from Manitoba and other Jurisdictions. He knows that from these meetings he will keep on learning more about the fraternity he loves to help him serve it better and to continue promoting Freemasonry as a Way of Life.
