The talents of Filipinos in the entertainment business are getting its much deserved recognition abroad.
In Europe, a nine-year old Dutch-Filipino boy is one of the qualifiers to the finals of “Holland’s Got Talent” which will be held Sept. 10.
In Los Angeles, California, USA, animator and storyboard artist Joe Mateo was awarded an Emmy for “Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation” for Disney’s “Prep & Landing” during the 62nd Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. on August 21.
Receiving a nomination as part of the Interactive Media team of nbc.com was another Filipino, Eric Cruz.
Meanwhile, nominated for Outstanding Children’s Program in the same awarding event is the show “Jonas” in which one of the lead stars is Filipino-American Nicole Anderson.
