Fans of the Winnipeg Goldeyes were treated to Filipino entertainment, culture and food during the ball game against the Kansas City T-Bones.
Beverley Wynne sang the American national anthem. YouTube internet Lady Gaga sensation, Maria Aragon performed her viral video sensation, Born This Way and the Canadian National anthem.
Throwing the first pitch was Big Marv, Hot 103 DJ and Filipino Journal Weigh In columnist. Pre-game cultural festivities were courtesy of Magdaragat Philippine Folk Arts, hosts of the Pearl of the Orient Pavilion during Folklorama.
Best of all, Pampanga Restaurant served up traditional lumpia, pancit and BBQ pork. Lines for the special combos on game day were long and based on the smiles of the Goldeyes fans, well worth the wait.
