The Philippine Roadshow to Canada stopped into Winnipeg on April 3 and hosted an “Evening with Philippine Tourism” at the Fort Garry Hotel. The Canadian roadshow was organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and Tourism Promotions Board Philippines (TPB PHL).
The roadshow briefings in Winnipeg highlighted the best that Philippine tourism has to offer through product presentations and business to business (B2B) networking sessions between the Philippine and Canada travel trade.
Canada’s tour consolidators and travel agents with Philippine program, mainstream and ethnic Filipino media and Filipino community leaders, associations and organizations as well as the tourism consumers in the areas to be visited are the target audience.
“With this initial roadshow, the Tourism Promotions Board is poised to meet, establish and renew linkages with the Canadian outbound travel industry partners and generate marketing leads to further its goals in the market place. We shall be presenting exciting updates on Philippine tourism developments and tourist destinations,” reveals Domingo Ramon Enerio III, TPB PHL’s Chief Operating Officer.
“The country’s brand in tourism shall be rolled out through a specially prepared cultural entertainment performance and distribution of communication materials. The support and commitment of the Fil-Can communities will also be solicited particularly for their participation to the Pinoy Homecoming Program and the highly successful Winter Tour Escapade. In this way, we can catalyse new and more tourism business and visitor arrivals to the Philippines, COO Enerio adds.
