The Filipino Journal events team along with MYXZ Images spent a weekend at Riding Mountain National Park to learn about enjoying the great outdoors during Parks Canada’s Learn-to-Camp weekend in partnership with Mountain Equipment Co-op.
Learn-to-Camp weekend is an excellent opportunity to introduce camping to families and doing it at a national park is an essential Canadian experience. Over 40 people took part in this year’s Learn-to-Camp at Riding Mountain National Park. Several workshops and presentations were made throughout the weekend and included an angling adventure geared towards the kids and fishing. Other workshops included GPS and geocaching, outdoor cooking techniques and learning how to build a really awesome camp fire.
The kids gave the Learn-to-Camp experience a two thumbs up.
