For his work on the play “Eclipsed,” Clint Ramos won the Best Costume Design award at the recent Tony Awards. The play was also cited in six Tony nominations including Best Play, Best Direction, Best Actress, and Best Featured Actress.
The US-based Filipino costume and set designer honed his skills on several Dulaang UP productions. He earned his masters degree in stage and film design at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. In 2014, he was conferred with the Presidential Awardee for Drama. He is the fourth Filipino to win a Tony award following Lea Salonga, Robert Lopez and Jhett Tolentino.
