Dennis Trillo feels bad on MMFF’s failure to acknowledge Jennylyn Mercado

Actor Dennis Trillo did not minced words when he stated that he was greatly disappointed with the way the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival’s “Gabi ng Parangal” turned out.

The actor was obviously referring to the incident when his girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado did not merit even a best actress nomination from the MMFF committee for her performance in “Rosario.”

Trillo however rebuffed talks that Mercado was badly affected by the MMFF snub.

He said her girlfriend actually did not expect anything and their presence during the awards night was to give tribute to the success of the film festival.

The actor admitted that he comforted Mercado in his own little way because for him, she deserves the best actress trophy, let alone a nomination.
