Rene and Leila Castro proudly presented their daughter Jaclyn Renee in a Debutante party at the Essence Canad Inns Garden City. Jaclyn Renee is studying at Sisler High School and will enter the University of Manitoba this fall to take up Microbiology, her first step to fulfilling her dream of becoming a medical doctor. Jaclyn Renee arrived in Canada as immigrant when she was 14 years old. In the Philippines she attended school at Miriam College.
Present in the event were the family’s good friends — MLA Hon. Flor Marcelino, MLA Hon. Ted Marcelino, past President of MAFTI Mrs. Gemma Dalayoan, Mrs. Leah Magsino, Dr. Tricia Magsino Bernabe, and QPAM President Mrs. Maan Urbano.
Pink roses were everywhere in the spring themed venue, while the projection mapping cake was showing the photos of Jaclyn Renee’s growing years. Leila acknowledged everyone in her welcome speech. She emphasized that the most important guests were the young people in the room because they will someday be in-charge of this country. While guests were enjoying the sumptuous dinner buffet, the Debutante’s cousin Mikaela Beatriz Balaga read the poem she specially composed for Jaclyn Renee, afterwards she played 4 songs with her violin. The program was concluded with a modern cotillion dance performed by the Debutante and her friends.
The family is thanking those who made the party wonderful – Happy Customer Services, Mark Gacer Photography, Asterfilms Videography, DJ Arthur Pineda and Canad Inns Garden City Manager Ros Hipolito.
