Young singer Darren Espanto is recording a stripped version of the song “Young Hearts” popularized by Malaysian pop singer Nik Qistina.
The 15-year-old Espanto who first gained attention when he joined the first season of “The Voice Kids” in 2014, considered the team up with Qistina a new milestone for him. The Malaysian singer’s version of “Young Hearts” was a viral hit, garnering more than 932,000 plays on Spotify, and 525,000 views on Qistina’s VEVO channel. The song focuses on the teenage struggle of looking for love, getting to know yourself, and understanding that there are better and bigger things out there.
