Local celebrities took to social media to pay tribute to Miriam Santiago following the death of the former senator on Thursday, Sept. 29 due to lung cancer.
Heart Evangelista, who is very close to the former senator, posted a moving message on Instagram, along with a photo of her and Santiago. Other celebrities who gave their tribute in one way or the other were Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Maine Mendoza, Regine Velasquez, Janice de Belen, Gretchen Ho, Aiza Seguerra, Aga Muhlach, Joey Reyes, Jed Madela, KC Montero, Marco Gumabao and Tim Yap. Aside from being a brilliant legislator, Santiago is known for her witty punchlines which she collated in her two books “Stupid is Forever” and “Stupid is Forevermore.”
