Katchry Golbin, also known as Aliènette Coldfire, a 26-year-old visually impaired Filipina got third place in “France Has Incredible Talent” (La France A Un Incroyable) last December 14.During the final round of the competition, Golbin impressed the judges with a moving performance of Jacques Brel’s “Quand on n’a que l’amour” during the final round of the competition. Judges illusionist Eric Antoine, singer Helene Segara, choreographer kamel Ouali and producer Gilbert Rozon were first amazed by the young singer with her French rendition of I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables.
Golbin came from Tapaz, Capiz. She also said she learned French through her France-based friends and from taking French as an elective language subject during her college years at Central Philippine University (CPU) in Iloilo City.
