Last month on October 17, 2014 at the 3rd Annual Manitoba Filipino Business Council (MFBC) Awards Gala, the MFBC gave the opportunity for the Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) award Artem Coste with the Redekop School of Business Merit Transfer Credit Award. This award is given to a student with high academic standing who meets RSB program requirements. Artem has received a 4-year scholarship of $10,000.
Artem, a graduate of Faith Academy, is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in Accounting. His interest in playing basketball and desire to attend a Christian school that teaches the fundamentals of faith in a community setting were several of the reasons Artem came to CMU. He appreciates the small class sizes and the way he can easily connect with professors.
A valued member of the CMU Blazers basketball team, Artem is a quiet leader on the floor, always exhibiting sportsmanship. Artem is personable and quickly steps up to a challenge. CMU looks forward to your continued engagement and participation in classes and activities at Canadian Mennonite University and the Redekop School of Business.
The MFBC is working together with the CMU to help its students from the Redekop School of Business by attending and networking at future MFBC events.
“It was very important to recognize our future leaders in the community,” said MFBC President Jon Reyes. “And it is also important that the MFBC establishes a relationship with post secondary institutions such as CMU to help our young bright minds in the community to gain the confidence needed after graduating. It is a win-win situation for both organizations.”
Congratulations again to Artem Coste a great rodel model to young students in our Filipino community.
