The Quezon Province Association of Manitoba, Inc. recently concluded its 2nd QFun 10-Pin Bowling Fundraiser event last November 4, 2017 at the Chateau Lanes, Winnipeg. Despite the first heavy snowfall for the season, 120 players with their families and friends braved snow-covered streets. Twenty (20) teams vied for awards and prizes which were sponsored by businesses and individuals such as Pacific Welders & Motive Power Services Ltd.of Edmonton, AB, Mr. & Mrs. Jun & Julie Manzanilla, Print Point of Winnipeg. The competing teams were: Griffindor (Griffin employees), Team Lopez (Lopez family), Tropang Transcona, Tropang Agdanganin, Team Alex (7-11 emplyees), Hot Rod Grillers, Pearl Dental, Team UST, Project Team, Critical team, Ball Busters, Team BA, Team Cole (Cole International employees), FCTPAM Peeps, FCTPAM Spare Changers, FCTPAM Strikers, Team Berde (Lacandula family), D’Kulits, Tropang Buhler and Team Sawi.
The event’s goal was to raise scholarship funds for selected students from the Province of Quezon in the Philippines. The project was spearheaded by its project chairman Norman Padilla and co-chairs Alden Novallasca, Eddie Revilla and Sonny Puache.
Tropang Buhler was champion; FCTPAM Strikers garnered the 1st runner-up trophy and Project Team was 2nd Runner-up.
