We had another successful year at our second Annual FIL-KAM Golf Tournament. We had a full complement of golfers and the weather was perfect! Mil-lion thanks to everyone who supported the tournament this year.
We are pleased to have several wonderful stories to tell you about how your generosity has helped to change the lives of deserving families and children in Bahay Aruga. This organization has made an impact in helping the community and has bright prospects of helping more families and children in the years to come with the touching stories of our grantee families and children’s. You will feel rewarded with your contribution to the Fund and your willingness to help these children in our community weather the crises in their lives make all the difference for children at the treatment centre.
We are pleased to have such a solid great relationship with General (Ret.) Pedro Bulaong and his role is vital in helping us identify the neediest family situations in the Philippines. The second annual charity golf event, held at Kildonan Golf Club, was a tremendous success. The tournament exceeded our most optimistic expectations. The prizes drew a lot of participation and generated significant interest thanks to the generous contributions of the prize donors. In addition, a large number of people who could not attend the event made contributions directly to the fund.
After the final accounting was completed we learned that the net proceeds of the event were over $9,000. In difficult economic times when every dollar matters, we are thankful for the incredibly generous support of you, our SPONSORS. We understand the personal options you have for supporting various charities and we want you to know how appreciative we are to have your support. As you read the stories in this newsletter, we hope that you are as moved as we have been in helping this worthy cause. We have been able to do this because of the volunteer efforts of family and friends. It has been a truly rewarding experience for all of us. We from FIL-KAM GOLF GROUP INC have committed ourselves to helping as many as we can in the coming year. Fil-Kam President Romeo Roque, Vice President Raul Bulaong, and all the members thank the 85 competitors, volunteers, and donors for their generosity.
