Kildonan Park was the backdrop to the inaugural Family Fun Day for the hugely popular Facebook group, 204 Filipino Marketplace. Over 500 members attended the event and was supported by many local businesses and sponsors including the Filipino Journal. What family fun day wouldn’t be without face painting for the kids, a bouncy castle, and special cotton candy giveaways!
While group members are known for engaging online, the Family Fun Day was an opportunity for many of the members to meet the 204FM administrators and take in a little Zumba too. Earlier this month, 204 Filipino Marketplace surpassed over 20,000 members and is one of the popular groups within Winnipeg’s Filipino community.
