The E250 arrived at the right time as Winnipeg was in the midst of another outbreak in potholes all across the city. Driving in the E250 over cobblestone streets in the Exchange or the pothole amusement ride I call St. James Street was a quiet and surprisingly comfortable ride. Luckily, there were no chassis-killer potholes during the week-long media review. Any potholes that I did come across proved to be small bumps in the road. Yes, the ride was luxurious and stately even on the crumbling roads of Winnipeg.
The 2014 Mercedes Benz E250 Blue TEC is powered by a 2.1L 16-valve Bi-Turbo inline 4-cylinder diesel engine cranking out 195hp 369ft-lb torque.
The new exterior design offers an aggressive sportier look, including an integrated Mercedes-Benz Three-Pointed Star integrated into the front grill. It’s a sharp bold look to the front end that offers a really good sport look to the luxury sedan.
The elegant styling of the interior makes this a great car to take on long drives and road trips. Seating in the front cabin is very comfortable and with all the driver assist features, the car could almost drive and park itself.
