“I was teary eyed when I heard that our last name was called.” Carlo Peregrino shares about the recently concluded sports league where his 12-year old daughter Margaret Peregrino bagged the MVP award. All of us at 204 Neighbourhood Watch are very proud of this young Pinay. Margaret always joins her dad in our patrolling. We fondly call her Ciel, the pretty young lady who loves to eat siopao.

Ciel was born in Cabuyao Laguna and is the only child of Carlo and Cecilla. They migrated to Winnipeg in 2008. During elementary years she attended Brooklands School. She is now in Grade 7 at George Waters Middle School. She started playing Hockey sometime in February of 2016 at the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy.

This is like an Inter-Organization League as they were competing with other Peewee Teams within and outside the city.

On her first and a half year playing hockey, she bagged the Most Improved Player Award for the 2016 – 2017 Season.

For the 2017- 2018 Season, she won the Most Valuable Player Award. Ciel is also a member of the George Waters Middle School Badminton Team.

When she grows up, Ciel wants to become a soldier (presently enlisted at the Air Force Cadet), a teacher, a pilot and a professional hockey player.
