At least 34 entries were submitted to the 1st Manitoba Filipino Street Festival poster contest and the winners will be announced on April 6, at 2 p.m. at the Garden City Shopping Centre. Prizes include: 1st. Prize: $1,000 donated by Canadian Tire and MP Kevin Lamoureux; 2nd Prize: $300; 3rd, $200, donated by Canadian Tire; and other consolation prizes for participants. There will be also prizes to those who will be attending the event. The 2nd Manitoba Filipino Street Festival will be held on August 24, Saturday, 2013 at the Garden City Shopping Centre parking lots. The winning entries will be published at Artista and Filipino Journal, media sponsors.
