First time it happened to a GM dealership in Manitoba
“Behind me are the sales people who made this recognition possible,” says Larry Vickar, President and CEO of Vickar Autogroup, Inc.,” their dedication, their professionalism and customers oriented people, probe to be the main reason why Vickar Community Chev is the number one GM dealer in Canada in 2012.”
This event took place recently at the show room of Vickar Community Chev where the management recognized and gave credit to all employees especially the sales people who were all lining up at the back of the podium where Larry Vickar stood. The luncheon party was attended by the members of the management, sales people, employees from all the departments, guests, Larry’s dad, and representatives from General Motors.
“It is known to everybody how Vickar Chev,” he said as he moved his head towards his back and gestured to the sales people behind him,” achieves this honor through their proven salesmanship, theirs being active members of the Vickar Community Chev family. And I am very thankful to everybody.”
A hepty and filling Ukrainian food served by a catering company had become the joy of people who, first the time, had a luncheon party held at the place where selling and buying of cars occur. Such a great moment to savour when you meet other employees and lunched together and felt proud to be part of the company’s honor.
The representatives of General Motors of Canada, namely, Heather Spencer, District Sales Manager; Greg Pacholek, District Parts and Services manager, and Neil McKinnon, Customer Care Manager congratulated Larry Vickar and his staff for making the dealership as number one GM dealer in Canada in 2012. Louis St. Cyr, vice-president of Development, St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, awarded Larry Vickar a plaque for recognition of his involvement in the foundation and his commitment to help other communities in Winnipeg.
And to add more excitement, Sam Vickar, manager, Vickar Community Chev, awarded Kathy Serediuk as the employee of the month for January 2012.
Luncheon continued as everyone tried to savour and enjoy perogies and kubasa!
