In a rally in Caloocan, UniTeam senatorial candidate Harry Roque assured the people that his team will continue the good programs that were started by outgoing president Rodrigo Duterte, citing war on drugs and Build Build Build (BBB) program in infrastructures as examples.

Roque said that his team will continue the progress of the Philippines as they want all Filipino to recover from the pandemic and from the war in Europe.

It will be recalled that Roque served as the legal counsel to the family of Jennifer Laude, a Filipino transgender who was murdered by US Marine Lance Corporal Scott Pemberton in 2014.

Pemberton was convicted for homicide in 2015. From 12-year maximum prison term, the court reduced it to 10 years on an appeal. After five years of serving his sentence, Pemberton received a presidential pardon in 2020.

Roque said he would investigate the provision concerning non-service-related crimes committed by American soldiers if elected to the Senate.
