Trainer says Algieri already in top shape

One of Chris Algieri’s trainers claimed that his boxer is already in excellent shape for his Nov. 23 bout with Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao in Macau.

Despite still being six weeks away to fight night, trainer Keith Trimble said the undefeated American is now in tip-top condition and has done well in sparring at the Bellmore Kickboxing Academy in Long island, New York.

For his part, Pacquiao is in the thick of training in General Santos City, sparring with lightweight Stan Martyniouk and former welterweight contender Mike Jones.
Pacquiao who is also a congressman is expected to take a brief break to grace the opening of the PBA’s 40th season on Sunday. His coach Freddie Roach has given him the go signal to play professional basketball for a few minutes with the Kia Sorentos on opening day.
