It has been 2 months since the first Town Hall meeting and many people in the community have asked me when is the next Town Hall? Have you spoken to PCCM about when they would hold an open forum to the public as PCCM Lou Fernandez stated in his CKJS radio address back on January 27, 2014.
After meeting with the PCCM President back in March, he addressed that he would not have a public forum till the summer in order to complete projects; one of them being the constitution. No solid dates have been set as to when these projects are to be completed by.
The best way to have your voice heard is to become a member of the PCCM or any organization that practices proper governance and where you would feel you can benefit personally and to the organization. Remember these organizations are comprised of volunteers. Any organization can use help and more members to help accomplish each respective organization’s goals and mandate.
Town Hall meetings will focus on issues to help the needs of the community on whatever concerns there are in the community. Anyone is free to participate and voice their concerns through the Town Hall Facebook page. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me at president@mfbc.ca.
