Third Best Show in our Sixteen–Year History! Canad Inns Winter Wonderland

Mild December temperatures made it very easy for over 70,000 Winnipeggers to visit the sixteenth year of Canad Inns Winter Wonderland. This number represents our third best show since its inception in the year 2000.

Canad Inns Winter Wonderland is proud to announce that as a result of the success of this year’s show, $16,000 has been donated to two local Winnipeg charities that provide support to young people in our province – KidSport Manitoba and the Red River Exhibition Foundation. This means the cumulative contribution made by this event to local charities is now upwards of $273,000.

“Canad Inns Winter Wonderland remains a very popular destination for families during the holidays. We have seen kids and parents, alike, marvel at the lights, hop out of their cars.

To take their annual holiday photo or grab their skates and hit the rink. Whatever their reason for coming, families make Canad Inns Winter Wonderland an important part of their holiday tradition. We, along with Canad Inns, are pleased to be a part of their celebration at a very special time of year,” said Garth Rogerson, CEO at the Red River Exhibition.

Special thanks goes out to Canad Inns Destination Centres, Red River Co-operative Ltd., Pepsi and Battlefield Equipment for their continued support.

Produced by the Red River Exhibition Association, Canad Inns Winter Wonderland is Manitoba’s largest drive-thru holiday light show and provides a brilliant presentation of over one million lights in 26 different theme areas. The 2.5 kilometre route was open nightly from December 4, 2015 to January 2, 2016. (except Christmas Day when the Park was closed). Next year’s event runs December 2, 2016 to January 7, 2017.
