Liberal star power came to the northwest Winnipeg riding of Tyndall Park this morning when Quebec MP Justin Trudeau, son of former prime minister Pierre Trudeau – father of Canadian multiculturalism lent a helping hand to Manitoba Liberal candidate, Roldan C. Sevillano to officially launch his campaign.
Trudeau offered his full-throated endorsement of the young candidate stating, “Roldan is a part of the new generation of young leaders who are beginning to take part in moving Manitoba and all of Canada forward.”
Sevillano spoke about public service and his vision for the campaign, “This is going to be a campaign of hope, a campaign of the future, a campaign for a better Manitoba.”
Sevillano was campaign manager for Winnipeg North Liberal MP Kevin Lamoureux’s two federal election wins. Prior to entering the political arena, he worked for six years at Calvary Place – a seniors’ residence – as recreational therapist.
