The year 2012 is almost coming to an end and the Manitoba Filipino Business Council Inc. (MFBC) continues to grow as an organization that has produced many quality events for our members.
Events included the MFBC Networking Keynote Speaker Series held at the Hilton Inn Airport Suite Hotel, which included Barbara Bowes of Bowes Legacy Group, Robert McIntyre of Dale Carnegie Leadership Training and others. Topics included human resource management and ways to motivate employees. Other events included a MFBC Business Mixer at Charlee’s Restaurant & Lounge and a Health & Fitness Industry Mixer at Canadinns Garden City.
November was heightened with excitement with the MFBC’s Awards Gala, which was held at the Gates on Roblin. The MFBC gave recognition to the business owners within the Filipino Community and to those who contributed to our ever-growing community. This inaugural event was sold out was attended by all levels of government, business owners, high ranking company officials, community leaders and guests. The MFBC was proud to have donated $2000 to the Kidney Foundation of Canada from the success of the event and the business organization is already planning the 2013 MFBC Awards Gala.
And it’s not just about business within the MFBC as they ended the year with a Family fun holiday event supporting the Filipino Senior Citizens Hall and donating non-perishable items to needy families.
