Supreme National Founder (SNF) Dennis Castaneda delivered his One Year of Accomplishments Report as National President/Chairman. He shared that PCGBI was formally established on April 14, 2013 at Lincoln Motor Hotel in Winnipeg through the election of 14 national founding officers with the common purpose of helping fellow members and their families in Canada.
He also mentioned that PCGBI has 150 strong members which was initially formed in Winnipeg, then in Neepawa, Steinbach, and recently in Toronto. In just a year, it has actively participated and supported various Filipino-Canadian socio-civic, heritage and cultural activities such as the 2nd Manitoba Street Festival, Philippine Heritage Week celebration, Philippine Consular Outreach Programs, and Philippine-Canadian Tourism projects, as well PCGBI’s membership growth and development programs.
Sworn into office as national founding officers of PCGBI are: Faustino Dennis “SNFSRMG Kalo” Castaneda, National President/Chairman; Michael “NFSGF Brisk” Kimmayong, National VP for Operations; Justino “NFSRMG Tinie” Dalog, National VP for Administration; Ernesto “NFSRMG Lim” Ofiaza Jr., National Secretary-General; Nilo “NFSRMG 3Kings” Muncal, National Treasurer; Bernard “NFSRMG Bergie” Banaga, National Auditor; Joselito “NFGBF Bumbo” Culanag, National Business Manager; Wilfredo “NFSRMG Willy” Openiano Jr., National PRO; and six (6) National Sgt.-at-Arms, Mario “NFSRMG Jomyr” Sarte; Renato “NFSRMG Nato” Balolong; Jeffrey “NFSRMG BJ” Soriano; Guillermo “NFGBF Douglas” Dolor; Nixon “NFSRMG Niker” Beloro; and Romel “NFSRMG Ohnet” Piza. Their oath was administered by Hon. Kevin Lamoureux, Member of Parliament, Winnipeg North, and witnessed by Hon. Jim McCarthy; Hon. Flor Marcelino; Hon. Ted Marcelino, MLA for Tyndall Park; and Honorary Consul Ronaldo Opina.
