PHCM hosting Youth Forum

Philippine Heritage Council of Manitoba, Inc. (PHCM) would like to invite you to its “Youth Forum on Building Success” event on March 17th from 6 PM to 9 PM at the DMCI Multipurpose Hall (720 Alverstone Street). This event aims to inspire the youth (grades 9 to 12 and U1 students, parents welcome too) to become successful in their endeavours, instil the importance of education and hard work, and promote involvement in the Filipino and wider community. To share their stories and give the youth the opportunity to get up close with selected community and sector leaders, we have invited the following panel members:

•Dario Cidro, PhD – Community Health Sciences (University of Manitoba) Sessional Lecturer
•Johann Generao – Graphic Designer, Co-founder of Winnipeg Got Sole, and DMCI graduation donor
•Mary Ann Masesar – Registered Nurse and Entrepreneur
•Carolina Nario – Educator/Teacher for Winnipeg School Division 1
•Gary Sarcida – Practising Lawyer
•Jeremy Senaris – Residential Plan Examiner for the City and Master Chef Canada contender

The “Youth Forum on Building Success” event is part of PHCM’s year-round activities in promoting the Filipino culture and heritage to Manitobans, and reflecting the vibrant and dynamic Canadian multiculturalism. This event is in cooperation with the University of Manitoba Filipino Students Group (UMPinoy), Manitoba Filipino Business Council, Inc. (MFBC), and Aksyon ng Ating Kabataan, Inc. (ANAK).

Event cost for participants is FREE. Please RSVP at phcm.inc@gmail.com or fill out the form here: tinyurl.com/PHCMYouth
