A new set of officers of the Original Seniors Association of Manitoba (OFSAM) has been inducted for the 2014-2017 terms of office at the dinner-dance held recently at Canad Inns, McPhillips.
Inducted by Lawrence Toet, Member of Parliament, Elmwood-Transcona, the 2014-2017 executive and board members of OFSAM include: Letty Antonio, president; Clarita Nazario, vice president; Juanita Limon, secretary; Vicky de Jesus, asst. secretary; Lorie Hernandez, treasurer; Carrie de la Cruz, asst. treasurer; Ellen Chua, auditor; Auring Cleofas and Mercie Cuaresma, pro; Emilio Briol and Pablo Cuaresma, peace officers; Angelita Maduro, Rosie Ringrose, Estrella Gabriel, Flordeliza Rembon, Gloria Agravante, Milargros Briol, board of directors. Florencio “Tony” Antonio, immediate past president, adviser.
Celebrants for the months of November, December and January were honored and greeted with a happy birthday song. For November, Carrie Barroga, Josie Concepcion, Remy Lumbang, Susana Madayag, Rodencio Visda, and Ricolia Ramos; December, Viring Rodriquez, Belen Leyda and Corazon Paiso; and for January 2014, Clarita Nazario, Gloria Caparros, Norma Intac, Gloria Agravante, Hilaria Calo, Frisca Marquez and Erlinda Barrinuevo.
Door prizes were awarded with gifts donated by Tony and Letty Antonio, Clarita Nazario, cash prizes from Cesar Fronda, Zeny Calimlim and Sharon Theisen.
