Close to more than 470 people enjoyed the breakfast fundraising held recently at the newly opened Canton Food Gallery at Logan and McPhillps. With the usual yummy breakfast menu of fried bangus, fried rice, scrambled egg and coffee (with so much refills), the officers, sponsors, volunteers and friends of the Manitoba Filipino Street Festival Inc. savoured the Pinoy “almusal” from 7 until 11 a.m.
Co sponsored by Sunnyday Environmental, the fundraising is the first attempt of the Manitoba Filipino Street Festival Inc. to raise funds for the 2nd year festival which will be held on August 24, 2013 at Garden City Shopping Centre. And at the same time, to encourage more organizations and volunteers to join the festival which had become a “talk of the town” of their 1st festival held last year, 2012.
Door prizes were given away to the lucky winners.
