Five Year Service Employee Award highlights the party
It was more than a family affair, the annual Lucky Supermarket Christmas Party held recently at Kum Koon was attended by family members of employees, thanks to the management led by Samantha Nguyen and her husband Greg Trent.
Even the presence of young families with young boys and babies added the real family gathering when sharing and giving for the Christmas season became the order of the night.
“This is our fifth year of family Christmas aprty, and I know that this only the Asian store, the Lucky Supermarket has been celebrating Christmas with their employees and guests and I commend the kind hearted managers Samanthan Nguyen and Greg Trent, their sensitivity to the needs of others, like the employees and the Filipino community and other communities has been known since this supermarket started,” says Gloria Estrella, one of the honored employees and winner of a grand prize.”Greg and Samantha have given the trust and confidence, and to work here for the past five years, is an achievement in my life since I arrived here in Winnipeg. My prayers will continue to celebrate Christmas every year, and the success of Lucky Supermarket, and loving each each, with everyone, God be the Glory”, Gloria said with a spark in her eyes.
Sam Gaspar said: “The management is too good to us; and given us opportunity to move forward. Samantha and Greg are generous towards the various community.”
“The Lucky Supermarket Family Christmas Party is so successful, we enjoyed every minute of it,” Dick Co, of Meat Department, said.
“Good party, and all employees are happy,” Quan Trinh said with smile.
Cherlie Valdez, another five-year awardee, said: “Five years of working in Lucky Supermarket is one of the best things that ever happened to me here in Canada. This is already my bread and butter. The owners, Samantha and Greg are so kind-hearted, generous and so sensitive to the needs of others. They give “credit to whom the credit is due because I was one of the 16 employees who were recognized by our service to the company, and received Samsung Galaxy Tablet 4 and gift certificate. From the bottom of heart, thank you so much, Greg and Sam!”
The sixteen 5-year Service Award recipients include: Mary Rose Gabriel, Cherlie Valdez, Lilibeth Tobinpe, Geraldine Sangalang, Boss Gaspar, Samuel Gaspar, Gloria Estrella, Isabelita Tiamsic,Joseph Ligan, Trinh Quan, My Thi Tran, Wai Kuen Ho, Cang Chau, Hang Phan, Tien Nguyen, Hoanh Xien Xau.
The five major prize winners were: Regina Opena- 50” Flat TV; Johanna Lelay- 41” Flat TV; Gloria Estrella – travel luggage; Vang Nguye- iPhone; and Yen Thai Dou, travel luggage.
Emceed by Tien Nguyen, the Family Christmas Party moved on with so much joy and thanksgiving, ready to celebrate the Christmas season.
