This is a musical. If you love musicals, I’m sure you will enjoy this. If you have ever been stuck in the dating world while feeling like all the good fish are gone, you will enjoy and relate to the stories told in this musical.
First let me tell you what I believe is great about this show: The singing, the actors nail the harmonies and make it seem incredibly easy. The music, there are a number of songs that will having you smiling so big and laughing so hard you can’t help it but notice how clever the lyrics are.
The huge problem I have with this particular show is that there is no actual story for us to follow.
With every scene featuring a brand new character, it’s hard to find a solid connection with them;
when you do find that connection, you have about two more minutes before the scene ends and the character is gone forever.
While the actors deliver some great comedic moments, often the cast deliver the punchlines expecting the laugh and causes the joke to fizzle out. The bright spot of this cast belongs to Mitch Krohn who fully commits to every character he is given. Krohn’s natural comedic timing is second to none and is, alone, worth the price of admission.
