Life of Peg Association of Manitoba kicked off the 2015-16 Sportsfest season earlier in November with it’s opening ceremonies at RB Russell School. Players from three different sports – basketball, volleyball and badminton and 24 teams were sporting their team uniforms as the LPAM Sportsfest opened for their second season. New to this year’s Sportsfest line up are separate men’s and women’s volleyball teams.
Presiding over the opening ceremonies were Vangie Mance, LPAM President; Mar Mance, LPAM Sportsfest Director/Commissioner; Nestor de Quiroz, Sports Director/Manager and special guest Flor Marcelino, MLA Logan.
Men’s Basketball Teams: 1. Daylight Electrical; 2. Toyota Mcphillips; 3. Densyo Carpentry Services; 4. Mance Financial Services; 5. Jackie @21; 6. Jocri Windows; 7. TMJ Dental; and 8. Mitsubishi Waverley.
Men’s & Women’s Volleyball teams: 1. Nestor de Quiroz; 2. Funshots; 3. Pinoy Driving School and 4. Saladmaster.
Badminton: (Doubles & Mixed Doubles teams) 1. Maples Physiotheraphy; 2. Milmar Abella Photography; 3. Mama Nors Kitchen; and 4. Heavenly Foods.
Opening Ceremony Awards – Best Muse: Joanly Torres Alba of Mance Financial Services Team; Best Uniform: Waverley Mitsubishi and Major Sponsor: Sunnyday Heating and Cooling.
