Jollibee is finally coming to Winnipeg by the end of 2016. In March 2015, Filipino all across Canada were excited when Jollibee announced that they were going to expand into Canada.
Thanks to internet leaks earlier this week, Winnipeg’s first Jollibee location is going to be at 1400 Ellice, next to Starbucks and Pita Pit.
Jollibee is famous the world over for their pineapple-topped hamburgers, peach-mango pie and “Chickenjoy” fried chicken.
Winnipeg has the third largest Filipino community in Canada by total population, with about 662,605 Canadians with ethnic origins in the Philippines. The city is also the largest by percentage (8.7%).
