The Department of Justice Menardo Guevara indicated lately that no one will be spared in their investigation of the alleged corruptions at Philippine Health Insurance Corporation
Guevarra emphasized that even a member of President Duterte’s cabinet would be prosecuted if there is enough evidence in the malversation of public funds.
Secretary Guevarra knew that President Duterte will not tolerate any kind of corruption in his government and he is expected to file the charges after the thorough investigations on the alleged wrongdoing of many PhilHealth executives and some other regional officials.
Meanwhile in the Senate, Senator Panfilo Lacson said that the Senate may initiate its own filing of charges against PhilHealth officials who will not be charged by the National Bureau of Investigation based on the task force finding by the Department of Justice.
Lacson said that Secretary of Health Francisco Duque and former vice president Rodolfo del Rosario maybe included among those who will be charged .
Amid this investigation, the services of PhilHealth to the public is not affected.
