Ardee Dionisio is one of a talent forces which bind the spellbinding show
As expected, the latest charmer of Cirque du Soleil’s “Quidam” has become a hit in their 4-day stint at the RBC Theatre at MTS Centre!
Billed as one of the darkest shows of Cirque du Soleil, “Quidam” is a story of a young girl named Zoe who is living in an imaginary world of Quidam and wants to escape reality.
Our kababayan, Ardee Dionisio, takes the role of Target who accompanies the lead character Zoe through the imaginary world of Quidam as her guide, friend and a happy-go-lucky companion.
The two-hour show captures the imagination of the young people and the adults by their colorful costumes, theatrical make-up and the flawless performances of all talented members of the circus. The repertoire has elevated the professionalism of the performers and its flawless executions of their difficult routines. So many spellbinding routines left the audience with awe and fascination. There is no boring numbers because of its continual show of dexterity and execution, par excellence.
Yes, Cirque du Soleil got talents and hundreds of them are all over the world. And in the Winnipeg presentation, Ardee Dionisio is a lucky kababayan who has been all over the massive stage performing his routine while accompanying, toying, cavorting with the lead character, Zoe. His costume, make-up, and acting are perfect for the show. Ardee does it with so much gusto and his professionalism is at ease. He is so fluid and convincing in his role as Target!
And because of these talented artists, par execellence, every Cirque du Soleil show is a total new experience ever imagined and seen by children and adults all over the world.
Just go to Las Vegas and almost all the 5-Star Hotels have been showcasing the group’s extraordinary program. When I was in Las Vegas in 2009, for my own curiosity and excitements, I went to see the adult show of Circle du Soleil at New York New York. “Zummanity” was a total sold out, and it was jampacked with international tourists. The show transported us into a colorful and an exciting nudist camp!
When they presented a sold-out show in the Philippines lately, the management felt the warmth welcome of our kababayans. And there is a plan to open a branch of Cirque du Soleil in the Philippines where talented artists are available!
Before and after the show, the Filipino Journal staff and volunteers were able to see and to talk to Ardee. He welcomed us at backstage. The stage is so massive and the props are well-stored and coordinated. We met some of the artists who welcomed us with their smiles.
