Assiniboine Park Zoo is once again offering children ages 11 and under free Zoo admission over the winter break from December 21, 2019 to January 5, 2020.
“This is a great opportunity for families to spend some quality time together at the Zoo,” said Laura Cabak, Manager, Communications & Public Relations, Assiniboine Park Conservancy. “Many of our animals – like polar bears, wolves, Amur tigers and snow leopards – are perfectly adapted to thrive in our Winnipeg winters, making it a great time to visit them at the Zoo.”
The winter break promotion applies to regular daytime Zoo visits only and is not applicable to Zoo Lights Festival, a separate after-hours ticketed event running until January 5, 2020.
The following are holiday hours for all Park and Zoo amenities:
• Assiniboine Park Zoo – Open daily 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed Christmas Day
• The Park Café – Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed Christmas Day
• The Pavilion – Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed Christmas Day
As a reminder, as part of Assiniboine Park Conservancy’s ongoing commitment to delivering excellent visitor experiences, the Zoo will be temporarily closed for maintenance from Monday, January 6 to Sunday, January 12, 2020. The Zoo will re-open at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020.
