A walk for clean water

A walk for clean water

Last September 14 at Birds Hill Provincial Park, over 500 participants gathered to walk for life-changing clean water.

2019 Global 6K for Water is a fundraising project of World Vision that aims to provide clean water to countries that don’t have access to it like the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). 6K is the average distance women and children walk for water in the developing world – water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases.

Every $50 fundraised at the event provides clean water that lasts for one person.
The goal amount to be raised was $35,000 which was successfully achieved and even exceeded at the amount of over $38,000.
