Everyone was all smiles on a cool and sunny morning at Shaw Park for the 17th annual CIBC Run for the Cure in Winnipeg. Over 5,100 people ran, walked and strolled the 1km or 5km course that went through Winnipeg’s Waterfront-Exchange district, along the Forks Riverwalk and the Forks National Historic Site.
Over $850,000 was raised through the event, and Canadians raised more than $30 million nationally for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest single-day, fundraising event dedicated to fundraising for breast cancer education and research.
