On Sunday, July 15, 2012, the Fil-Can Cabletow Lodge No. 189 held it’s 4th Annual Golf Tournament at the Kildonan Golf Course.The Masons and Non-Masons enjoyed the gorgeous day in spite of the light rain showers during the event. This year event was outstanding in terms of weather, very good numbers of participants and the sponsor’s support and good-hearted fun in support of the Charitable Projects of the lodge.
The money raised at the tournament goes to the School Feeding Program of the Lodge, one in Cagayan and one in Isabela provinces in the Philippines. Also, the Scholarship Program (Bursary) here in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The winners for Division A: Abe Guanlao – First; Aldrin Ferrer – Second; and Randy Viray – Third. Division B: Rico Villarin – First; Rico Monton – Second; and Amado Rosales – Third. Also, there were Consolation and Raffle prizes won by the participants. The organizing committee composed of: Chairman – Bro Raul Bulaong and the Members: Bro Joseph Pelayo, Bro.Tony Bantados, WB Arnold Calambacan Sr., WB Rico Villarin and Bro. Conrad Cabrera.
The Worshipful Master, WB Cris Alip, would like to thanks the Masons, Ladies of Masons, participants, sponsors and the volunteers for their support and generosity that led to the complete success of the tournament. Special thanks was also extended to the Past Grand Master, MW Bro Chibu Uson for his assistance to the event from the start to finish.
