An estimated 70,000 people came to enjoy the lights of the eighteenth annual Canad Inns Winter Wonderland this year!
As a result of the terrific support shown by Winnipeggers, we’re pleased to announce that Canad Inns Winter Wonderland has been able to donate $15,000 to young Manitobans. The donation has been split between KidSport Manitoba and the Red River Exhibition Foundation. To date, over $300,000 has been sent to Manitoba charities on behalf of everyone who came out to enjoy the lights during the holiday season.
“It was a cold December but Winnipeggers bundled up and came out to support this fantastic annual event. Our team was outside in some very cold conditions taking tickets, changing light bulbs and making sure everything went smoothly. Thank you to everyone who came out to continue this great tradition and for helping us help young Manitobans in their quest to fulfill their goals,” said Garth Rogerson, Red River Exhibition, CEO.
Special thanks goes out to long-time sponsor Canad Inns Destination Centres, Red River Co-operative Ltd., Battlefield Equipment as well as our invaluable media partners for their continued support.
Produced by the Red River Exhibition Association, Canad Inns Winter Wonderland is Manitoba’s largest drive-thru holiday light show and provides a brilliant presentation of over one million lights in 26 different theme areas. The 2.5 kilometre route was open nightly from December 1, 2017 to January 6, 2018 (except Christmas Day when the Park was closed). Next year’s event runs November 30, 2018 to January 5, 2019.
