The festival of the summer is just around the corner and is more exciting than ever! The Fringe is looking for more than 750 dedicated volunteers to help run the festival, which will take place in and around Winnipeg’s Downtown and Exchange District from July 18-29, 2018.
Volunteering for the Fringe is a great way to contribute to the community, share your interest in the arts and an opportunity to gain access to special perks like free tickets to shows, appreciation events and more. Each year, Manitobans generously donate more than 17,000 hours during the festival to create an enjoyable experience for patrons and performers.
This year, volunteer roles at the Fringe Festival include selling tickets and ushering for shows, helping to keep drinks flowing at our beverage pavilions, facilitating fun with our young fringers at Kids Fringe, answering patron questions and keeping our indoor and outdoor spaces tidy.
Fringe volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of four shifts (4-6 hours each) over the 12-day festival, and applications are now being accepted until July 13. For more information and how to apply, visit www.winnipegfringe.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org
