On February 4, Pangasinan Group of Manitoba (PGM) Basketball League held its sporting season’s opening ceremony. Luminaries in attendance included the group’s board of officers and City Councillor Mike Pagtakhan. PGM Vice President Jimmy Gabriel tossed the ball to start the first game, commencing the basketball season. Members of each team are as follows: Black Team—Kenneth Tugade, Nerwin, Sion, Manny de Leon, Gerard
Gacilan, Robert Madlangsakay, Domy Manauis, Dondon Nior, Mike Rogot, Al Sansano, Marlon Delim, and Adriano Tolentino; Grey Team—Jun Agustuin, Gary Biala, Daryll  Agustin, Junard Agustin, Junine Agustin, Michey Agustin, Rodel Gomes, Romy Muñoz,  Mao Paragas, and Noel Parotina; Blue Team—Santos Rara, Aris Mangat, Marco Cruz, Mike de Castro, Red de Castro, Mer Monzon, Raul Pinga, John Pinga, Roberto Sanches, and Moi Roldan; White Team—Danny Javier, Phil Calderon, Wayne Gregorio, Jose Daniel Hipolito, Ernio Nollido, Gerrywill Marqueses, Benson Funa, Mario Isla, Michael Operana, and Aries; Red Team—Ruben Abaya, Carlo Peregrino, John Aquino, Nino Arcilla, Noel Estrada, Adrien Maggay, Boyet Manesa, Kenneth Oquendo, Emil Oquendo, Adrew Tiopo, and Abel Pobre.

That Sunday afternoon inside the Bowling Below Alley, the officers and members of the Friendly Rollers Mixed Bowling League has all the energy and enthusiasm to focus on their games. Instead of worrying the heavy smack of wind and snow ourtside, each bowler has aimed to advance the each league averages. For under the men’s division, these top five bowlers scored and these include Dennis, 207; Nars, 179; Art, 174; Joey and Wilson, both have 172.In the women’s division, Leovie has 158; Jean, 150; Leonie 145 and May 117. Art Loquiao and Leovy Guevarra, are the president and treasurer respectively.
