Team Winnipeg capture NABA Juvenile Championship

Over 141 teams from the North American East Coast of gather every year to battle for the title/trophy of NABA. This year Winnipeg was represented with 5 basketball teams from tykes, peewee, bantam, juniors and Juvenile. Volunteered coaches Angel Brana for tykes and Juvenile, Eric Fernandez for peewee, Riley Velasco for bantam, and Jai Mendez for Juniors

Thank you coaches for your time and effort to taking our teams to the finals.

Each of these teams trained endlessly during the summer to keep fit and conquer this years 30th annual NABA tournament.

Congratulations to our Juvenile team on bringing home the trophy for such a tough division. You all did awesome and participated the best you can. Juvenile team coached by Angel Brana had super skilled players Don Dayrit, MVP for this division, Kniel Sullera, Cole Lacap, Matthew Medina, Drey Porcioncula, Mikey Saceda, Gavin Stevenson, and Justin Garcia. These young men pulled it off and brought home the gold.

Our other 4 divisions had it tough too, each of their games were oh so close short of a point or two but couldn’t finish.

Most of these players are new to NABA and now have that experience to play hard next time on the court. NABA brings such talented players not only in basketball but NABA is also volleyball.

Although Winnipeg didn’t have representation for volleyball this year they are getting ready for next year. NABA 2018 MONTREAL.
