The Philippine Heritage Council of Manitoba (PHCM) Inc. would like to invite you to the 2018 “Youth Forum on Building Success” event on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 5:30 PM to 9 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute (720 Alverstone Street).
Now in its fourth year, the event aims to instil the importance of education and hard work, promote involvement in the Filipino and wider community, and inspire high school and post-secondary students to pursue engaging and fulfilling careers. PHCM has invited a set of guest speakers, identified leaders in their industries and fields, to share their stories of career development, discovering their passions and pursuing higher learning.
This year, “Youth Forum for Building Success” attendees will benefit from the talent and wisdom of such role models as Eric Garcia, Clinical Kinesiologist and former Bisons basketball guard; Chenee Lubi, an Assistant Branch Manager for Bank of Montreal; Intensive Care Unit Nurse Ricardo Reyes; Viz Cabrera, stylist at Hunter & Gunn; optometrist Dr. Earl Jamora; and Winnipeg Police Constables Maria Mas-Buduhan and Orlando Buduhan.
The event is in cooperation with Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute, University of Manitoba Filipino Students Group (UMPinoy), Aksyon Ng Ating Kabataan (ANAK) Inc., and Couples For Christ.
Students and parents can attend the event at no charge – cost is FREE.
