Thanks to the efforts of many in Winnipeg’s sneaker community, over 400 pairs of new or lightly used shoes are being used by Siloam Mission and Basketball Manitoba.

Along with several dozen vendors and exhibitors at the 2nd Annual Winnipeg Sneaker Swap & Expo, this wasn’t a regular sneaker event. The sneaker swap & expo also aimed to collect as many new or lightly used shoes. Based on the turnout and donation of used shoes, the event was a huge success for organizers Frendell Cano, Johann Generao and Jerry Legaspi.

We can expect to see more charity initiatives from this trio as a Winter Jacket & Sneaker Drive is expected to be announced this coming fall.

Winnipeg’s Got Sole founders Frendell Cano, Johann Generao and Jerry Legaspi want to extend a sincere thank you to all family, friends and vendors who sponsored and supported their efforts that made it such a success. Lastly, to God for allowing them to be able to give back and pay forward their blessings.

Interested individuals or parties interested in being part of upcoming sneaker expos or have questions about their non-profit charity can contact them by email: info@wpgsgotsole.ca.
