Forbes ’30 Under 30 Asia’ list includes 10 young Filipinos

Ten Filipinos of different fields made it to the first ever Forbes Magazine’s ’30 under 30 Asia’ list.

Topping the list in the manufacturing and energy category is the 22 year old Leandro Leviste, founder of Solar Philippines.

Also included in the list are Charice Pempengco (23) for Entertainment & Sports, Xyza Cruz Bacani (29) and Ronson Culibrina (24) for The Arts, Koh Martinez Onozawa (26) for Retail & Ecommerce, Rachel De Villa (23) for Finance & Venture Capital, Valenice Balace (27) for Consumer Tech, Raphael Mijeno (28) and Henry Motte-Munoz (29) for Social Entrepreneurship; and Amin Hataman (15) for Healthcare & Science.

The youngest Filipino in the list was Amin Hataman from Zamboanga who invented a biodegradable plastic made from coconut.

A panel of 30 judges helped decide which young people will make it to the final list. Judges include actress Michelle Yeoh, designer Kenzo Takada, businesswoman Solina Chau and other experts.
