The Gift (a fundraising event)

The newly formed local band Tropa graced the well-attended fundraising event “The Gift,” which was held on September 24, 2017, at Garden City Community Centre. Other featured performers included Bea Jaime, James Cruzat, Vina Dimayuga, and John Zumba, who facilitated entertaining and engaging Zumba sessions during the intermissions, to the delight of the participating members of the audience.

The Band of Brothers performs at Goodwill Social Club

The 1221 is on a roll. After a series of gigs at Pyramid Cabaret in Downtown Winnipeg, the so-named Winnipeg band of brothers will be performing at Good Will Social Club (625 Portage Ave.) on October 4, as a part of the venue’s showcase of new Indie acts.

A Taste of Fil-Canadian Reggae

The local band Psyan Project will dish out their usual platter of Filipino-Canadian Reggae music on October 28, at Le Garage (166 Provencher Blvd.). Come and feel some summery dreadlock grooves amidst the falling of the autumn leaves. Warm yourself up with a bit of Reggae while the white season is not yet here.

Ely Buendia’s Greatest Hits Live!

One more week to go, and one of the Philippines’ prime Alternative Rock artist, Ely Buendia of the famed ’90s-forming band Eraserheads, will be gracing the stage of Pantages Playhouse Theatre on October 7.
