Banago, a Philippine made bag and accessories goes for a one time preview of their 2016 spring summer collection for the Designers and agents (D & A) show in New York.

The collection consisted mostly of beachwear with pieces made from locally sourced and a produced material such as wild grass and palm leaves. The media are then transformed into tote bags, clutches and accessories.

Some of the pieces featured are Tarentas (Braided) and Banderetas (banners) tote bags, and the Halas (snake) clutch.

Renee Patron, founder and creative director, intents to broaden its support to promote the sustainable livelihood of the artisan communities in Samar.

The brand has extended its retail branch to outlets in the USA and Asia- mainly sold at J-crew, Anthropologies and Nordstrom.
