Two gold, one silver and one bronze for Tan at the Canadian Baton Championships. Rhaychelle Tan, 17, received the Senior Individual Challenge Cup award for her achievements during the 2014 competition season. This award is presented to an athlete who achieves the highest number of points (from all athletes 15 years + up across Canada) from the previous competition season.
She also had success on the competition floor at the Canadian Championships in very tough divisions. GOLD – BI Sr 3 Baton; BRONZE – Jr Duet (with Laura Tymchyshyn); SILVER – Jr A Pairs; and GOLD – Jr Level B Small Dancetwirl.
She will join Team Canada at next month’s International Cup in Abbotsford, B.C. as part of Team Canada.
She trains many hours a week in baton twirling, dance and she is a member of Sisler’s dance troup.
